    1. [IRL-KERRY] Cemetery Occupants!

    3. MessageOh! Hi All: I'm glad someone explained the matter fairly incorrectly but clearly with the hint of honest intention to soften the realities. So, I am grateful for the kind intentions, though misleading. I realize the Kerry List was never shut down, quite the contrary, the contributions, inquiries and responses were "right on" with the intentions of the List to begin with. I never thought I'd "disappeared from sight" I just had nothing to say, to add, to inform, to suggest. Then [as the previous contributor posted] I "picked up" on a posting about Kerry Cemeteries and looked into the subject matter and discovered that "my" Cemetery, Knockane, was not yet included in the on-going work about Kerry Cemeteries. So, I asked, BUT I know now my question was not worded properly, it was [in reality] the sort of question with a "twist". Of course "the twist"[ mine ], was a bit tongue in cheek as just about all my questions are. The response was a better "tongue in cheek" than the question I asked and there now existed A LIVE ONE I could communicate with that [I dreamed] would be more entertaining than some of the inane crap Ray and I exchange off line. Eureka! Another priceless Subject that might approach the goings-on related to the Irish Soda Bread event of years ago. So, maybe the geezer in Minneapolis touched the truth of the matter that this "Cemetery Occupants" subject was another to "react" to. Knocknagoshel was mentioned as a reason for the flurry of bantering going on right now, and the fellow is correct. It is ONE of the reasons. Microfilm reading is not a viable reason though, I don't do such a thing. "Geezers like us" probably lumps us all [ not just Ray and Jack ] into a catagory that is befitting those of us who love the ability of entertaining and most valuable that of being entertained. And, coincidently, providing spurts of interest in another of the goals of the Kerry List, that of being of assistance to those of us trying to find out about those wonderful people who are our ancestors. It seems to be OK that some of us are "fearful" of ghosts afterall all of us have other than pure Kerry blood in us. Heights are nothing to be fearful of though, there are photographs and TV images of mountains and planets. Anacondas frighten everybody, even those in movies that are computer enhanced images. Saber toothed tigers really is a reach to be something to be afraid of since they all left this Earth around the time of the Civil War. Gallowglass terrorists haven't been in business since there was no money in it, and that was over 700 years ago. I can empathize with the sharp broadaxes though, mine is rather dull but I do remember when it was sharp. Of course, then I could actually swing it, now it's rusty and dull and just sits in a corner of the basement. Love, Jack Sweeney, about to knock off for the night, have a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallow in Palmer, Pennsylvania.
