A likely location is ...THE IRISH LAND COMMISSION. This body has technically been abolished by statute. The Department of Agriculture and Food now holds all of its vast records. The Land Commission was the Government body which purchased the Ventry ( and other landlords' estates ) for ultimate distribution and sale to the existing estate tenants ( my family,and hundreds more ). It would have required the estate records for the necessary investigative legal research and 'paperwork' generally....DEC
