Hi, I have not been able to find my gm's birth record as well. However, if your Kelley ancestor were Roman Catholic they would certainly have had her baptized. Check with the churches in the area at that time. Most people in the 1800's were born at home with the use of midwives. They did not have the requirement that doctor's and hospitals do now to notify the local town clerk of any births. It is likely that they did not record her birth.
