Hi Ray I sent this message a couple of days ago but don't know whether you received it or not. It was too long so it was stopped. So I don't know if this abbreviated version was allowed through or not. -------Original Message------- From: Irene R Date: 01/30/08 10:36:08 AM To: raymarsh@mninter.net; IRELANDCo KERRY Subject: Re: [IRL-KERRY] Cemetery Occupants! Hi Ray I am not having any success with my search for my favourite family - NOLAN in Kerry - my Mum's heritage. My g grandfather was David Eugene NOLAN who married Alice SIMS in Victoria, Australia in 1872. He had been born I believe in 1841 and his birth, chr or registration had taken place in Ardfert. I cannot find how he came to Australia (maybe he swam) but have some information re his family here. I also believe his father came to Oz (would be my gg g'father) as two David NOLANs are buried in the same corner of north east Victoria. The older, born 1804 in Tralee, died on 27 May 1894, buried in Talbotville Vic. The younger died Sale Hospital, Vic 24 Aug 1912. David Snr (gggf) had married a Catherine (either HOLOGHAN or NEAL). She apparently died 1887, also Talbotville. I believe this older David's father (my ggggf) was James NOLAN who had married Ellen CARMODY. The entire family here in Aus. was Catholic. If you can:- 1. Make sense of this lot, and 2. Find any further information re any of these people, I would be eternally grateful.
