    3. Granted the type is v v small, but Casey and his army of volunteers who transcribed records in 1950s deserve alot of credit. I was camped out in National library in Dublin every evening for 2 weeks wading through films of original latin church records for one parish. When I saw same stuff transcribed in Casey vols I was gobsmacked. Transcription is error prone and presume they had to take some shortcuts so you could go to original records or contact parish directly if u have a query on record or feel there is something missing. I got so fed up with finding information scattered all over the pages and the small fine print, that I decided that maybe, I really didn't care to find my Irish Ancestors, if that is what it was going to take.
