Dear Kathy very interesting to hear of your Lawlor / Sheahan connections, but I think that they would perhaps have been a generation earlier than mine. My Margaret Sheehan / Sheahan was born about 1841, and from further south than your Mary - but maybe there is a connection, I don't know. Although I have a lot of info on Margaret's husband's ( Daniel Spillane ) family, as yet I have precious little on hers. But, as with all female kin, it's a usually a bit more difficult tracing the line back. I have yet to find her marriage certificate - so daunting delving into parish registers, have to really really prepare myself for the grind....... I think that I may possibly have found John Lawler in the 1881 London Census, living with his wife, Bridget and family in Bermondsey which was not far from where Margaret and Daniel were living. But nothing is writ in stone!! Mary
