    3. Trish: Do you have a birthdate for your Daniel O'Connor? Mine was born in 1824, but he was in Leeds England by 1856. Could have returned for a family baptism, though?? Thanks for your kind words and I do hope you have success with the church signs....worked for me!! Bye for now - SallyAnn irl-kerry-request@rootsweb.com wrote: Today's Topics: 1. She finds it rather strange for us all to hunting around ever day for people who are long gone. What a lovely person your cousin is Sallyanne to send the peat and stones. I had to explain to my friend in Kerry that as a child I had no grandparents., as my mother was in a home most of her childhood. She knew her mother but the relationship was not good. I remember going to my mum's uncles funeral when I was about 15 , my mother said to me "Don't turn around but that's my mother sitting over there." And yes you guess it , I straight away turned .My mum and she were so much alike , when the funeral crowd came out of the Church she did not come over to speak to us, you would have thought she would like to meet her grandchild . So to fill in the blank pages of my heritage I keep looking. So wish me luck with the signs in Kerry. By the way SallyAnn, I have a Daniel O'Connor witness to the baptism of Catherine O'Connor, baptised in Kiltallagh 1859. Her parents were Thomas O'Connor {Connor] and Elizabeth Teahan. Happy St Patrick's Day to one and all Trish in Sydney From: "Helen" <hdipilato@comcast.net> To: <irl-kerry@rootsweb.com> Date: Tue, 11 Mar 2008 20:29:45 -0400 Subject: [IRL-KERRY] Casey advice Hello list, First of all happy St. Pat's Day to all. I have been roaming around in vol. 8 of Casey at FHC for past 4 weeks. I am going blind and have not gathered as much info as I had hoped. I still have 2 more films on order but I'm hung up on a marriage. I cannot find a marriage on a Denis Cournane and Julia Donoghue of Killarney circa 1840's. I did find their son's marriage. He said he was from Glenflesk and his parents were Killarney. I used data posted by Ray Marshall's Casey info to order my volumes. I have been over everything more than once and I'm lost. Tonight I noticed that vol. 5 has marriage records for Killarney and Fossa from 1792-1839. Should this be the film I need to order next? I don't know the area so I have only ordered vol. 7, 8 and 14. I just realized that vol. 5 has some Killarney records. I have found many of my Kerrisk/Healy/ Forhan records in vol 8 which included Teernaboul. The bad news on the Teernaboul record is it only had bride and groom and witnesses. I was hoping for more parents. I have also been haunting LDS site for the record. Are most of the Casey records on that site? As you can tell I'm a Casey newbie and I'm confused and horrified by what it's doing to my eye sight. Any advice would be appreciated. My FHC cut hours to 4 a week on Tuesdays so my eyes at least have a week to recover!!! Also a special thanks to Cheryl who posts on this board and Worcester board for 1856 Griffiths. She had a relative named Martin Ready, probably her brother. Catherine & Patrick left for the United States by about 1850. Thanks. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile.
