I don't have any "findings/answers" for the Downey questions but my Gr^3 grandfather was John Downey born somewhere in Kerry around 1800. He was in Pennsylvania by the 1820s and Ohio by the 1850s. I have little hope in finding these Kerry roots but am "all ears" if there are any suggestions.
