Jack Sweeney; Thanks for yet another Soda Bread recipe; I look forward to make ing it next year- or next week if I really get the urge. I have tried Splenda (about 1/2 of the sugar amount) in my family bread which is much like yours and it did not make a difference. SO, if anyone has diabetics in the family, using !/2 the amount called for in Jack's recipe would make the same fabulous tasting and "feeling" bread. Last year's Soda breads (copied from our list) are wrapped and waiting. My family recipe, which always gets made VERY early, is half gone - but then we've had a bit of time -in days! Don't add much to the list conversations because I'm not chasing my ancestors from Kerry currently- got involved in too much social work. However, I NEVER FAIL TO READ EVERY ITEM and it makes me feel connected and closer to Kerry and all of you. Thanks! May Blessings be with you always!
