    3. Fintan makes an excellent point here. If it is important to you, you should always look at original documents (or microfilm of same) rather than trust transcriptions). Many folks reported that the Irish genealogy project, devised as a "work program", resulted in many transcription errors causing it not to be worth the cost in some cases. I was camped out in National library in Dublin every evening for 2 weeks wading through films of original latin church records for one parish. When I saw same stuff transcribed in Casey vols I was gobsmacked. Transcription is error prone and presume they had to take some shortcuts so you could go to original records or contact parish directly if u have a query on record or feel there is something missing.
