    1. [IRL-KERRY] Michael O'Sullivan 1800

    3. My name is Kathleen Sullivan Kerwin. My family were famine immigrants from County Cork. History: Michael O'Sullivan b 1800 and wife Julia O'Connell came to NYC in 1848 from Glengariff, Bantry Bay, County Cork. Family lore states they may have original come from Glengariff but we have recently found information that it may have been from Adrigole, which is near Glengariff. Their children: Johanna 1820 married Denis Harrington in Blarney. Family immigrated in 1860 to Saratoga Springs, NY. Florence 1826 father of Peter who was father of Ed Sullivan. Immigrated in 1851 to Saratoga Springs, NY with John and Daniel. Married Margaret McNulty in 1852. John 1828 Immigrated in 1851 to Saratoga Springs, NY with Florence and Daniel. Mary 1820 Immigrated before 1851 to Saratoga Springs, NY. Peter 1832 to Saratoga Springs, NY. Margaret 1832 to Saratoga Springs, NY. Daniel 1833 Immigrated in 1851 to Saratoga Springs, NY with Florence and John. Michael 1842; born 5/18/1842 possible record is a baptism record in Adrigole a month after his birth 20 July 1842; see http://www.sullivansofsaratogasprings.com/Adrigole.htm I found extensive documentation in the U.S.; see http://www.sullivansofsaratogasprings.com/. In order to work in the Irish side, the only option I had was to start DNA testing. So far I still think we are from Adrigole since on of our 2 closest matches has a miner as an ancestor. There is mining in Adrigole. We are: a.. A genetic distance of 2 from the South Irish, Ysearch Z9HCX, and b.. A genetic distance of 0 from Dr. Nordvedt's baseline: 391=10, 385b=15, 439=11, 447=24, 456=15, 442=13, 635=24(a.k.a. GATA-C4, a non-FTDNA marker) 390=24, 458=17, 449=29, H4=11,565=11 Kathleen
