Hi All, I finally got my big breakthrough and found my g-grandparents' marriage record from 1870, which includes all the information I need: my g-grandmothers' father's name, mother's name and her place of birth (in Kerry). The problem is that I can't decipher the place of birth. It is so close, yet so far away! If I scan it and copy it into the body of an email, would anyone be up for trying to help me figure it out? The challenge is that it was handwritten by a traveling priest who was French, writing in Latin, with very poor handwriting.... Please let me know if anyone would like to take a look at it and I will send it in a following email (as part of the email not as an attachment). Thanks! Donna
Donna Forgot to say this in earlier message. if you have the parents names have you looked at the Kerry parish records online at www.irishgenealogy.ie You may find your g-grandmother's birth there with a townland.
