Trish: I think we may have been in touch before? Thanks for your email. I do know for sure that my Ann Morphy's surname is spelled that way and not Murphy. Are the two spellings interchangeable I wonder, or are they two separate names? There was a Mary Morphy in Eramosa Ontario. She was the other grandmother of the children of Richard Talbot and Sarah Ann Morphy. This young couple both died very young - he in 1861 age 32 and she in 1866 age 33. I'm still not sure what the relationship might have been between the two grandmothers - Ann Morphy Talbot and Mary Morphy. Perhaps they were sisters in law. If Mary's husband was a brother to Ann then their children Richard and Sarah were 1st cousins! And so it goes! Cheers, Violet
