I was trying to find another Elizabeth Teahan .On the marriage to my great grandfather Thomas Connor she is listed as living in Ballyfinnane So many times I have tried to find the correct Elizabeth ,found two others one in Bolteens and one I found some time back in Ballyfinnane but could not be her as they married in 1842 and this one born 1831. Trish
Hi. Trish! I hope I understood your question. If not, I apologize. I found three Elizabeth Teahans born in the 1820s: 06 Oct. 1822 in Killarney; 07 June 1820 in Boulteens; and 05 Nov. 1827 in Ballyarkane. In addition, I found an Elizabeth born on 14 Dec. 1816 in Killorglin. Trish There would be very few Catholic church records as far back as 1820. Between 1700 and 1829, it was illegal for priests to keep records; although some did, mostly in the towns. Some parish records don't start until the 1860s (Brosna 1868, where my people are from)according to Ryan. But Tralee goes back to 1772. Ray Where it is March in Minneapolis and he's hoping for Spring one of these months. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of Trish Jensen Sent: Wednesday, March 02, 2011 9:41 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [IRL-KERRY] Irish records Has any one been trying to use the www.churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie site of late I can get nothing from it at all with dates in the 1820 Put in many names , have they taken off the early ones perhaps.?? Trish, I'm not having the problem. I had more hits spelling it Ballyfinane than Ballyfinnane.
