Catherine Enright. A couple of Kerry listers contacted me with a bit of help but it seemed that the ancestral home of the Enrights was rather far from Duagh and I shrugged it off. Well, for some stupid reason known only to other family historians, I neglected to do any further searching in the data base. And I lost the Emails in my Windows crash last August. I finally spent some time there in the last week or so scraping up a bunch of great-great uncles and aunts and then decided to go through the marriage files to see if I could find some possible spouses for them. And I found the wedding of Catherine and Maurice that I somehow missed in my first go-round. She was from Aghanagram (L, M, or U) townland, Aghavalen Civil Parish, near the town of Ballylongford, in the R.C. parish of Ballylongford, where the wedding was held by Rev. T. Maurice and Catherine had seven children: Hanora/Joanna 1833, Bridget 1835, Patrick 1838, Thomas 1844, Daniel 1846, William 1849 and Catherine 1852. 1. [IRL-KERRY] Merry Christmas Kerry Listers
    2. Andy & Norma McAuliffe
    3. A Holy & Happy Christmas to you Ray in Minneapolis and to all Kerry Listers. Ray: My g-grandparents Andrew Fogarty, baptized in Lixnaw Parish Nov. 1827 and Mary Callaghan supposedly of Tralee, were the first couple married in Sacred Heart Parish, Paris, On., Canada on November 15, 1852. Andrew's parents John and Elizabeth (Costello) were from Aghabeg. Andrew's sister Johanna also married in Paris, ON. to William Patrick Moriarty. Nothing more is known about Andrew's brothers Matthew and John. Mary Callaghan's parents were Patrick and Mary (Howard). Her only brother known was Owen Eugene, who also came to Ontario. Should you be browsing that website at your leisure,( my visual impairment makes it difficult) I would be pleased if you came across any information on Andrew's missing brothers. We do believe the Fogarty name originated in Tipperary, but don't know where either of their parents were married. Any help would be appreciated. 2. Hi List Long time since I mentioned my Daniel Sullivan, so time to update what I have found and see if we can find a connection with the parents or grandparents now. Father of Daniel Sullivan of Cahersiveen is Timothy Sullivan born abt. 1785 Mother of Daniel is Ellen Driscoll 1787 County Kerry. Timothy Sullivan is the son of Timothy Sullivan born abt, 1765 of Killarney and Mary Roche born abt. 1765 and married in 1784 in Killarney Ellen Driscoll is the daughter of John Driscoll and Johanna Connell. Can anyone connect to these families? Liz - still searching County Kerry's records.

    3. Liz, I have some Sullivans intermarrried with my DENNEHY in the Cahersiveen area. To know if they connect with yours you would have to trace the Daniel and Timothy down to about the 1850s, because that is about as far back as i et in my data. I realize of course how common these names are so they recur from generatin to generation, but the spouse name helps make connections. 2. Kay Clarke
    3. Hi - I'm new to the Kerry List, although on other ones. I have been having a problem with finding a village. The name shown on a Death Certificate is "Lerveen" but I have been assured that it is not in County Cork so I decided I would try the surrounding counties in the hope that it occurred there. It would appear to have been large enough to have a church/chapel as my husband's ggggrandfather was married there c.1830. I read that there was a "Creveen" in Kerry - could this possibly be what I am looking for? Any help gratefully received. TIA Kay - in Northern NSW, Australia.
