Daniel, couldn't find a Johanna Casey in Kerry at all - but did find a couple in county Cork, a Johanna CLANSEY baptised 4th Dec 1828, father Patrick Clansey, mother Ellen Allen, sponsors Patrick Brian and Ellen Clansey in the parish of Desertserges, Cork. And a Johanna Casey baptised 9th April 1831, father John Casey, mother Sally Fitzgerald, sponsors Denis Horgan and Ellen Sullivan, in the South Parish of the city of Cork. More may very well come to light when they put on more Cork parishes ( which have been ' promised ' for the end of the year - which is now....... and you may well uncover Johanna living just over the border from Kerry. Good luck with the hunt, Mary
Hi I am trying to determine, if possible, the siblings of my forebear, John Sullivan On the [1817] baptism of my forebear John Sullivan, the address is given as Carrubog, Tuoh [parish/congregation=Killarney]- parents John Sullivan/Margaret Falvey. There are other baptisms [1809-1830]for children of John Sullivan/Margaret Falvey, but the parish/congregation is given as Killorglin -the addresses vary, Carhubeg, Tullamore, Cappaganeen. Would the fact that the congregation for John Sullivan [1817] is shown as Killarney and the rest Killorglin indicate that there is more than one family? I had thought that Carhubeg and Carrubog where the same place- but not so certain now. If it is not the same place-where is Carrubog? Lib

Jeanne There is a Tober townland in Kilgarrylander Civil parish that could match. Did you try "Tober" Some years ago I went through all the R.C. Baptism locations for Castleisland in Kerry and compared them with the official townland lists. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~irlker/casparc.html Many of the names that were listed as the baptism location were NOT townlands. But what you have to be looking for when you have the Marriage or Baptism records is the RC (or C of I) parish, not the townland. When I looked at the list of RC Parishes in Kerry. . . . http://www.igp-web.com/kerry/churches.html The only "possible" I came up with was St. Mary's parish in "Tarbert." http://www.kerrytourist.com/towns/tarbert/ That's up on the Shannon, northeast a bit from Ballylongford, where I found my Catherine Enright. Sorry sent originally w/o a subject Using http://www.irishgenealogy.ie/index.html I think I found my gggrandparents (Patrick O'Connor/Honora Kenny) marriage record showing that my gggrandmother was from Tubber, Parish of Ballymacelligott R.C. I tried looking for that townland using http://www.seanruad.com with no luck. Then I tried the Griffiths information on the Kerry site, but nothing even comes close. I also searched just location = Tubber on the http://www.irishgenealogy.ie/index.html website. I got 138 hits, so the spelling is correct. Google produced no results either. Anyone have any ideas? And Ray one of those 138 hits might also be my gguncle's marriage (Michael Kenny/Julia Walsh) and one of the witnesses was a James Enright. Jeanne North Carolina

Do you have the baptismal records for Johanna John and Mathew ? If not Johanna Fogarty Ahabeg 30 Jun 1831 Sp Margaret Fogarty John Fogarty Ahabeg 15 Jul 1825 sp Thomas Costello Margaret Reily Mathew Fogarty 27 Apr 1823 Sprs Johanna Daly Loooked for marriages for John and Mathew but did not find any except a marriage for John Fogarty to Mary Breen 26 Nov 1856 in Beaufort parish witnesses James Breen Jeremiah Breen. However as there were other Fogarty families in Beaufort parish it is unlikely this is related to the Ahabeg family.
