Hi Listers, I have been trying to locate the birthplace of Michael Kenny for several years. I am happy to report that, with the help of the East Galway Family History Society, we now have the following definitive information. Michael Kenny, son of John Kenny and Bridget Kelly, was baptised 30 November 1857 within the Roman Catholic parish of Glenamaddy. Sponsors at the baptism were Patrick Kenny and Catherine McLoughlin. The Kenny family lived in Moneen. I would love to hear from anyone who might be connected to the Kenny, Kelly or McLoughlin family in that vicinity. We will be traveling to Ireland in September and plan to visit Glenamaddy. Jackie Reiss
