Thanks to the CLDS, most of the world has access to the Catholic parochial registers of Tuam, 1790-1920. Baptisms and marriages for the 1790-1880 period are found on Microfilm 0926234, also, using high magnification reader, there is another microfilm of the same data, Microfilm 1279208. Your nearest CLDS Family History Center will show visitors how to access those microfilms. They are not always very easy to read, but they are most informative Some Family History Centers have copies of the microfilm on their local shelves; if not, they can be obtained at a very low cost from Salt Lake City or other distributions points around the world. Ask those friendly Mormons to help. I've closely examined the film held at the Hyde Park FHC, London. The name Pendergast and its variants are to be found there. Registers for neighbouring parishes are more elusive. John Egan (of Tuam descent)
