Hi Listers, Just want to stay in touch re: Otherdays Still unable to access the site,in spite of innumerable e-mails. Has anyone managed to access this website yet? Has anyone recently subscribed ? How have you got on? NEHGS isn't showing a link yet. What about the Godfrey Library- any news from that connection? Cathy
Cathy, no news from Godfrey Library yet, and it's still not listed in the Index at their site. FWIW, the otherdays.com site is up this evening but, as far as I can see, contains no mention of reasons for its intermittent disappearances and service problems. I tried a search but couldn't get any sense out of it. Dear Cathy - and every other person on the list who is a subscriber to Otherdays. It seems that it is still possible to pay to subscribe to Otherdays.com. I filled out the form again and got as far as payment. I've just taken a look at the WorldPay web site - this is the online 'banking' system that Otherdays use. WorldPay is part of the Bank of Scotland group - and while they would not be responsible for monies that any of us have spent by subscribing to Otherdays - they would be responsible for any company that they provide for - that is their responsibility would lie in making sure that they deal with reputable companies. If they receive enough complaints all at once they may investigate Otherdays quickly. This is the email address that you can write to at world pay and listed below that is the information that they will require from you. Some of you may have the full details still, I imagine that the record will be on your visa card statement. Jane shopperhelp@worldpay.com "Please provide as much of the following information as possible: Store name and website address - Transaction ID - date of purchase and amount - how you have tried to contact them - the contact details you used." ----- Original Message ----- From: <CathOneill@aol.com> To: <IRL-GALWAY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, March 13, 2005 11:53 AM Subject: [GALWAY] Otherdays .com (again) > Hi Listers, > Just want to stay in touch re: Otherdays > > Still unable to access the site,in spite of innumerable e-mails.
