    1. Re: [IRL-GALWAY] Connolly/Barrett Co Galway
    2. Minish is probably Mweenish (Mainis) island, now connected to the mainland at Carna by a bridge. There are still Barretts around there. One of the best-known pookauns in the area (one of the local sailing boats - "hookers") is called the "Pucan Bharrett." It was launched in 1928 and is still used by the Barrett family out of Furnace (Foirnis), Lettermullen (Leitir Meallain) about 5 miles across Kilkieran Bay from the southern tip of Mweenish. Perhaps Diane can find you the LDS film number for those places as well, if they're not covered by Roundstone. If you'd like to read about the area (and see a photo of Pucan Bharrett) you can get a copy of "The Shores of Connemara" - Seamas Mac an Iomaire - from Amazon, or direct from the publishers, Tir Eolas, Newtownlynch, Kinvarra, Co Galway.
