    3. This is a great new database. But, I've run into a challenge...Has any one found that there are clear gaps in years for any of your surnames? For example, there's a 9 year gap between 1837 and 1845 for the name COATES. It's a common enough name, so there should be entries. Any info on what kind of gaps are known to be present in the records??? Thanks very much. **** All outgoing mail scanned by Norton Anti-virus **** ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ken & Judy" <kenjudydear@worldnet.att.net> To: <IRL-GALWAY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, August 04, 2005 12:05 PM Subject: RE: [GALWAY] Fw: CastleGarden-- port of entry to U.S. > Betty, thank you soooo much. 3. In her reply re Castle Garden, Pat Wood says she is researching the name Coates. Pat, are your Coates from Galway. I am looking for information on my 2xgreat grandmother Catherine Coates. She married about 1837 James Butler and lived in Kiltormer, both immigrating to the USA about 1857. There are so few Coates in Galway, thought I would ask about your Coates. Feel free to answer me offlist if you prefer.
