    1. Kilkerrin and Rusheen in the Parish of Moyrus?

    3. Good day list, I have the following citation from Teacher's records in the National Archives, Dublin... Kilkerrin NS, Roll No.4941, Town Land Rusheen, Parish Moyrus, County Galway. Unfortunately I can not seem to make sense of it using the maps and online data at my disposal. I can find the civil parish of Moyrus...but it does not appear to have a townland of Rusheen. I've found only Rusheennacholla, Rusheennamanagh and Rusheenyvulligan! As for "Kilkerrin"...in Moyrus, I find a townland of "Kilkieran" Would anyone know if the two are the same? The name of the school is Kilkerrin National School...but it seems as if this is not the name of the townland in which it was located. I think Rusheen is the key to my further searching. Can anyone out there (Peter????) lend a hand? Does anyone know if there is a National School in operation today in Kilkeran to which I might write? Thanks for any asssistance, Tim __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
