Not long ago, I received a a copy of a letter my cousin sent me. In the letter from St. Basil-Visitation in Chicago, it describes seven baptisms of seven of the twelve baptisms of my grandmother and her siblings. It gives the name of the child, the parents, and the sponsors. The seventh baptism is of my grand aunt Agnes. The parents are my great grandparents - Michael McDermott & Mary (nee Fitzpatrick) McDermott. However, the sponsors are John & Mary McDermott - (no notation of Mary's maiden name). The date of baptism is 03 May 1891. My great grandfather was from County Mayo. I have no knowledge of any siblings, only some conjectures. However, I do know that Michael's father, also Michael, married a Mary McHugh in 1847 in County Mayo. I do not know if this helps.
