Marcie, The 1830s OS maps of the very rural townlands certainly do indicate where structures/homes were. The tiny settlement where my ancestors lived is on such an OS map. Not only the buildings but also their orientations are shown on the map, i.e. my great-great-grandfather's house, which is still standing, is placed at an angle to the other buildings and that is reflected on the map.
