    1. Re: [IRL-GALWAY] marriage record ?--DOLAN & KELLY
    2. In theory it's not impossible, but in fact it may be. The Griffith's index shows Dolans in 2 Galway civil parishes that border on Clare--Beagh and Ballynakill. (Others who have Mitchell's Genealogical Atlas are welcome to doublecheck me on this.) Unfortunately, the RC parishes in Clare on which they border don't have records filmed back far enough to show baptisms from the 1820s. Tubber goes back to 1833, Crusheen to 1860, Clonrush to 1846, and Scarriff to 1852. If you believe Mary Ann and Patrick married before emigrating, you could look for their marriage in Clonrush on LDS film 0926093, item 1, or ask the Clare Heritage Center to check the Tubber records (they've not been filmed by the LDS), but both are long shots, of course. (My grandfather's parents lived in Kilkeedy/Tubber, though his mother came from just over the county line in Kilmacduagh/Gort.) Diane
