If you look for Galway Walkers and Roscommon Burkes on the failteromhat.com Griffith's index, you'll see Walkers in two Galway parishes on the Roscommon border--Athleague and Kilcloony. Both of those parishes adjoin Roscommon parishes with Burkes--Athleague, Fuerty, and Dysart. (Of course, Griffith's was done after your ancestors emigrated, but most families stayed in the same area for generations.) It's possible your ancestors married in one of those Roscommon parishes, though you'd need to check the Irishtimes site to see how far back RC parish records go if your ancestors were Catholic. Diane
