Let me start this all over again, please.   I'd like some input.  I have a baptismal record that I believe has an error.  The information has been translated and entered into a computer database.  The name of the mother now reads "Hartz".  A distant cousin has a certificate from several years ago that reads "Flaherty", which agrees with family tradition.  I believe there was either a typo or misreading.  I think the "FL" was misread as an "H" and the "rty" was misread as "rtz".  I have seen "Hartz" now online as the name of the mother.    There were no other baptismal records on that date, which agrees with the child's Civil War information, in that location, which also agrees with the Civil War info., with the correct father.  The "old" priest had recently died when I requested the information.  I was told he had been the translator, and the books were no longer available to anyone.  I have received no response from the "young" priest.    Would you leave this alone, assume the rest of the info is correct?  Push for a correction?    I would like some input.   Elizabeth
