Hello all. I was given a family tree containing Lally family members but with no dates whatsoever. They were to have married into the Costello family lines (Martin, Bartley, or Eamon) somewhere between 1800 and 1900. The Costellos were from Cornarone, Co Galway near the coastline of Galway Bay. The family farm is still occupied. I have given up on tracing them as I had so little to go on. This is the Lally information I have so far. Patrick Lally m. Margaret Gannon. Nick Lally m. Maisie McDonogh, da of Patrick and Peggy McDonough. Peggy was the da. of Martin Costello (b. c. 1853 in Cornarone) m. Nau Feeney. Their children were Mary, Nan, Bridget, Peggy, Kate, Barbara, Nora, Martin. Nick and Maisie Lallly's children were Patrick, May, Sean, Margaret, Seanus, Michael, Paul, and Kevin. It was this Patrick who married Mararet Gannon. As you can see, not very much information related by Costello family member considered the family senache or historian. As far as I know, no family bible exists. The Costellos were all Catholic. Any help offered will be gladly received. I'll help wherever I can. I am the daughter of Martin Costello and Anne Noone of Cornarone, Noone being another name I'm having trouble with. All but one of their children emigrated to the US in the 1910-1920 and settled in and around Washington, DC. Maureen Gamble Co. Galway: Costello, Costelloe, Sheridan, Lally, Foley/Folan and any family around Cornarone. Co. Kerry: Boyle, Blennerhassett, Talbot, Walsh and any family around Castleisland or Leaha. > > > > There is a nice Marriott Hotel there now.
