    1. [IRL-GALWAY] Dead end; need some ideas, please-Nolan and Naughton from Galway
    2. Tom Novak
    3. I have been searching for over a year now on this dead end, and have gotten nowhere. I would appreciate some suggestions, please. Patrick Nolan (b 1822, Parish of Killiane, Galway, d 29 Mar 1900, Jersey City, NJ) and Catherine Naughton (b 1825, County Galway, d 12 Jul 1893, Jersey City, NJ) arrived at NYC 31 Jul 1849 on the Ship Cremonia. What is interesting is they had two daughters while in Galway: Honora E. Nolan (b 1846) and Bridget Nolan (b 19 May 1848). However, these two daughters were not listed on the passenger list of the Ship Cremonia, nor in the Philadelphia census for 1850 (where Patrick and Catherine first lived), nor in the NYC Census for 1860 (where they moved after Philadelphia). However, Patrick and Catherine (and their six boys they had in Philadelphia and NYC) moved to Jersey City in 1868. Bridget and Honora were on their census in 1870 in Jersey City. On Briget's death certificate (d 30 May 1931), it stated she lived in the USA for 65 years. >From the clues above, it appears the daughters came over about 1866, but I have been unable to find any ships passenger list with them on it. Also, where would I find them in Ireland for the period 1849-1866? I have written away, and gotten records from both the East and West Galway Historical sites, and no luck. I have searched many LDS films, again with no luck. I continue to search ships records from Ireland 1865-1867 for the two daughters, but no luck. Help, I am at a stone wall! Thanks! Tom Novak
