Baltimore Patriot Baltimore, Maryland 15 July 1822 County of Galway - As the season advances, distress seems to increase in this quarter. It is stated that many persons, having no other alternatives, have sold their shirts and shifts, with other linen and cotton articles, to the agents of the paper makers, to avert for a moment the ravages of hunger. Fever being prevalent, many have died, and some persons have been buried without a coffin.
