There is an RC church in Kilbannon/Kilbenan right along the road, three miles out of Tuam. Another three or four miles further along on the way to Kilmaine, there is a turnoff for Kilconly, about a mile from the main road, where there is another RC church. And, of course, there are churches at both ends of the road. You might want to pick-up Discovery maps 38 and 39 for your trip - they will cover this area nicely.
