Patricia, I had a similar experience with my ancestors who were from Tubber, Ballymoe, County Galway. Ballymoe is very near the County Roscommon border but their mail is sent to Ballymoe, Castlerea, County Roscommon. I've often wondered if back in the early 1800s the border between Co. Roscommon and Co. Galway changed. Would anyone have that answer? Thanks. Joanne
