Rahoon Parish Barna District - Aille Townland Bartholomew (Bartley) GILL b 1847 (son of William GILL) married Kate HERNON b 1853 (dau of Denis HERNON) at Barna on May 10, 1870. The family is listed in the 1901 census of Aille Townland, Barna District and it is believed that decendants may still be living in Aille near Barna, County Galway. The known GILL children of this union are William, Bernard J., John, Mary, Francis, Patrick and Michael. Three of them (Bernard, Mary and Francis) came to Chicago, Illinois between 1897 and 1905 and we believe they all married there. Mary GILL married Frederick George WATZKE of Chicago in 1911. Karen B.
