Cathy The only extra info I have managed to track so far (other than the original details I gave & thanks to a kind soul on the Manchester list) is that Patrick's wife was listed in the 1871 census as BRIDGET BIRD. Also, on this census, their ages were recorded as 36 and 34 respectively, which would put Patrick's birth around 1835 as opposed to 1841 (calculated from the 1881 census). Like Patrick, Bridget was also from Galway. I have not managed to trace a marriage record yet.
