I have also been researching in Moneen/Williamstown. Unfortunately, I did not see any Keanes in the part of the microfilm that I viewed. We don't know if our Michael Kenny was born there (circa 1857) but there were Kennys and Kellys in the town in the 1860s. We do know that Michael was there around 1880 when he wrote a poem at the Moneen Bar. I checked the Irish Genealogical Research Society website and the list of articles in the current Irish Genealogist did not mention Williamstown. Could anyone with a copy of the journal see if there is a mention of Kenny and Kelly in Williamstown? We are planning a trip to Ireland in July and would like to visit Williamstown. We expect to fly into Dublin and then take a train to Galway. We do not feel comfortable driving from Dublin or Galway City. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced alternative to get to Williamstown? Thanks. Jackie Reiss Florida
