    3. Have the signs changed since 1996? I don't remember having any trouble driving in Galway, Limerick, Kerry, Cork, etc. The signs were in two languages. I recommend going with a large fold-up map of Ireland, such as you can buy in a large bookstore in Pittsburgh. This is not good for genealogy, just for driving around. Also, days will be short and probably rainy in October, why rates are cheaper then. Don't plan to drive too much in a day. Message text written by INTERNET:IRL-GALWAY-L@rootsweb.com >Hi, I am going to Ireland in October with my uncle and we will be renting a car at the airport. We will be spending the major portion of our trip in the West and have heard the most signs are now written in Irish. Is there a book or pamphlet listing all of the names and giving the meanings in English? I think it may make our trip a little easier if I can find one. Thank you. Carol Pittsburgh< Elizabeth W.
