I'm trying to learn the name of my mother's father's father's mother, who married Stephen Kerrigan and had at least two children, Fergus around 1830 and Michael about 1835. Stephen raised his family in north Clare, but in the 1901 census Michael said he was born in Galway, I suspect just a few miles away, as Fergus and Michael married girls from Kilmacduagh and Kilbeacanty parishes, and Griffith's shows Kerrigans in Kilbeacanty and Beagh. I also suspect that Stephen and his wife had more than two children, and that some of the others emigrated. Would love to hear from anyone with Kerrigan ancestors who came from that area, especially if there are Stephens (or Ferguses or Michaels) in the line. Diane
