Hi, My 3 x great grandmother, Ann West was transported to Australia on "City of Edinburgh" in 1828 for 7 years. She was married and brought 2 children with her. Her husband was possibly Michael Forbes. She married again (convict James Cullen) and died in Sydney in 1862. Her Ticket of Leave and Certificate of Freedom state she was born in 1793, was a native of County Galway, date of trial was 3 April 1828, place of trial County Galway. Offence sheep stealing.
