There's a John Glynn listed in Galway Births at the Ireland Gen. Projects site. I had transcribed some images that a friend of mine in Galway sent me some time ago. The date of birth is much later than the years you mention, but the family could be related. John Glynn, born 1869 to Thomas Glynn and Honor Greaney in Annaghdown RC, townland of Ballysale.
