Thanks for your response, Diane. I always appreciate your suggestions. Where is it that you view the civil index? I was recently in Ireland and able to visit a graveyard where Patrick J. Geoghegan's children (Theobald, John Joe, and May) are buried, as well as visit the remains of their houses. They are buried in a "new" cemetery so still have to find where the two Patricks and their wives are. I have posted on the Roscommon and Geoghegan lists and hope for some response from them. Since the Patricks lived and taught so close to the border, the Galway list also seemed like a good choice. I've spoken to people in Co. Roscommon who still remember the above named people, so just hope the "right" person is still out there and will respond with information. Sheila
