    1. [IRL-GALWAY] Nea McGratten and Tim Furse
    2. Meg Greenwood
    3. Joy - I looked in the microfilmed death Indexes for McGRATTENs and did find a 'Nancy' that could be nicknamed 'Nea'. There was also an Alicia and a Margaret with similar surname spellings. Is this one a possibility ? 1878 Deaths, 2Q, McGRATTIN, Nancy age 81, registered Galway district, volume 4 page 214. Finding a FURSE was much more difficult ! No FURSE surname was located in 1878, I found a FURY, a FORDE, a FORHAN, 3 FOLEYs, a FLOOD a FITZPATRICK, a FENLON, a FEENY and several others all named Timothy [its a rare given name so I checked all the F surnames for Timothys]. None sounded like FURSE and I did check FERRIS specifically and in 1877. So far, none of these was registered in Galway as the district. 2. Karin A. Joyce
    3. Nancy is usually listed as Ann or Anna in Irish records. Same as Bridget and Delia is the same name. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Meg Greenwood" <scotquester@bartnet.net> To: <irl-galway@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, April 07, 2010 10:52 AM Subject: [IRL-GALWAY] Nea McGratten and Tim Furse > Joy - I looked in the microfilmed death Indexes for McGRATTENs and did > find a 'Nancy' that could be nicknamed 'Nea'.
