    3. A few years ago there was a reunion of the Castledaly parish and a booklet was issued. It was very helpful to me as my mother didn't remember the exact location of her uncle's house. The booklet has the map out of the people living in Castledaly years ago and a bit of genealogy. I have a copy of the booklet but would be willing to make copies for any who would find the info helpful in their searches. I am at work and don't have the booklet in front of me to tell you the exact contact but I will answer requests if any are seeking Castledaly families. I saw one on the list that was and I was reminded of the booklet. Karin Joyce

    1. Otherdays & My Family Tree Maker - same ISP problem
    2. Since I never joined Otherdays, I haven't had this problem with them. However, with My Family Treemaker I have the same problem. I can no longer gain access to my web page to update it because I no longer have the internet provider I had when I first started with My Family Treemaker. It has me royally ticked off. I have sent several e-mails detailing my problem and always get an automated reply that tells me how to get to my new web page which I don't want. Anyone else have this problem? Did you get it fixed? 1. Dooley Surname
    2. I am researching the name Dooley from Galway. I have a little information on the family. John Dooley came to the USA (New York) May 9 1921. He was 21 years of age. He was on the Ship Cedric which sailed out of Queenstown. He was from Levally Co; Galway. His father's name was Thomas Dooley from Oloonroo? Levally Galway. John Dooley went to live with his Aunt Miss Helen Dooley at 22 west 71 St New York City. In 1930 I find him on the New York City Census living with a cousin Joseph W. Young. and also living with them was an O'Reilly family who were also cousins. Would anyone have any connection to these Families? Any help appreciated. Geraldine Ryerson k

    3. Dear Lists I sent this to several lists that might have some information. These are my Galway Irish Lines. I am hoping that some one might be able to come up with an obit on one or any of these individuals. Or tell me where would be a good place to search for one. If not an Obit any additional information on these individuals. These deaths probably all occurred in Western Galway close to Clifden. I know the records are sparse in some cases. Is there any chance in locating additional records or Obits on these people. 1. England - Wales data online
    2. Rick Haverty
    3. I don't know how many of you may have used this site - <http://www.1837online.com/> www.1837online.com to find genealogy information for England, but I just found out about it today. I don't have enough beginning information to search in the UK to get into it myself, but thought it may be useful for others on the list. It's a pay-per-view site that charges 10 pence per image with a minimum of 5 pounds (per session I suppose). They claim to have the entire 1861 census for England and Wales online. Their free trial is pretty good as you can search their data bases for marriages, deaths, and births within a narrow range of time (I think it was Jul, Aug, Sep 1863 or something). It's good enough to give you a feel for the site and what they have to offer. The use a Lizardtech viewer so it's pretty similar to what you see with Ancestry.com. Here's a note from the web site... Please note that this is a full set of the publicly available records for England and Wales. There are no known omissions. These indexes do not cover other parts of the British Isles - Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands. The BMD indexes for England and Wales contained on this site are divided into two distinct areas: * From 1837 to 1983 all records are scanned pages of the indexes that are found at the Family Record Centre and also held on microfiche or microfilm by some libraries and family history organisations. * From 1984 to date, all the information is in a database format. Cheers, Rick Haverty

    2. Mary Jo Take a look at the website _www.movinghere.org.uk_ (http://www.movinghere.org.uk) It's a good site for beginners to Irish research, so you won't be tempted to write "Irish" and "census" in the same sentence !! The arrival dates are not from Irish records, I would think from US passenger lists. The RC parish for both places is Killosolan/Ahascragh. Records start 1840 .. LDS film no.09899751 So that first birthdate 1824 is from somewhere else - family bible, or naturalisation records, maybe? Cathy.

And the other three are for the once-larger Town of Headford - now reduced to a village (but an important one, I hasten to add to avoid offence).
