    2. I, too, am researching the Norton (Naughton) family. My grandfather was John Robert Norton, who migrated from Ireland to Boston in 1887 but ultimately ended up in NYC. He is said to have lived near a "British barracks" in Galway City. Census and other records reveal birth dates ranging from 1862 to 1866, but I know little about his background and cannot find him on LDS passenger lists. Pat Baltimore, MD

    1. Kilcloony (Ballinasloe) - Mathews, Kimple
    2. Stephen Booth
    3. Kilcloony parish (Ballinasloe) - Mathews/Matthews and Kimple/Kemple Also Loughrea parish - Mathews/Matthews My Galway ancestors Ross Mathews and Catherine Kimple were married in the Catholic parish of Ballinasloe in 1830, and their children Bridget and Ross were born there. I guess Ballinasloe would have been Catherine's parish. On the other hand, I suspect the Mathews family might have been from Loughrea, though I can't confirm the connection. Catherine and Bridget sailed for Liverpool, England, some time during the famine years. I have no idea what happen to the two Ross's. Stephen

    1. Roll Call - Moycullen
    2. Mary E. Murphy
    3. Moycullen Parish Townland of Lippa near Spiddal/Spiddle. COSTELLO - James and Anne (Malia) moved here from Galway Town with their daughter Margaret. Another daughter, Bridget (Delia) was born here in 1870. I would love to know where James and Anne are buried. I have been unable to locate any death records for either. Both daughters came to America and there were no other children to my knowledge. I am also puzzled as to why the family moved to Lippa. Relatives, job, etc. There are many Costello names in the area. 1. Roll Call - Rahoon Parish
    2. Mary E. Murphy
    3. Rahoon Parish of Galway Town. Specifically, Henry Street. COSTELLO - Margaret b. 1866 to James Costello and Anne Malia/Melia/Malley. Her father James was born in the same house to Edward Costello and Jane Daly. The Costello families lived in #2 Henry Street. The Malley family lived in #4 Henry St. There is a good chance that both are my lines. I have visited Henry St. Does anyone know if the houses are numbered the same now as they were in the mid 1800s?
