Hi Jeff Thanks for yours re Glasnevin Cemetery and your Archbolds. There could very well be headstones which may record the names of others buried in that grave. In order for me to find the grave/s you would have to get the Grave Number/s for me and I could put them on my list of things to do! It might be a while before I get there as it is now winter here in Ireland, and not the best of weather. Also I don't live close to Glasnevin - I live about 10 miles away on the other side of Dublin City If the grave wasn't purchased by the Archbold family then the grave would be considered a Public Grave and others could be buried there. In this case no headstone could be erected (I am going by the rules and regulations for Deansgrange which is also a large Co.Dublin cemetery). People who just couldn't afford to buy a grave more or less had to go for the latter option, and just pay for the actual burial. I took a photo at Glasnevin for a MARY ARCHBOLD buried 1859 wife of RICHARD - just mentioning this in case it might be connected to your family. The photo and details can be found on IGP Archives. If you want to search and find, go to http://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/ire/dublin/photos/tombstones/markers.htm and search for "Archbold". Hope this helps. Jeff Thanks for the details of the Graves. I shall keep a note of them for when I get back to Glasnevin, but I can't see that being in the near future. If anyone else finds them for you, just let me know. The Garden Section is rather like a large field with headstones scattered through it, and quite difficult to work out rows, but I will have a go at finding them as I say when next there. Best wishes Joyce
