    3. Mary Archibald (note different spelling of surname) is on the 1901 census at Doyle's Court, Blackrock with husband John + 3 children, all born Wicklow except the youngest child, Ellen, born Co. Dublin c.1900. Mary is a widow by 1911. This looks like Ellen's birth info (Rathdown is in Co. Dublin):Ireland, Civil Registration Births Index, 1864-1958 Ireland, Civil Registration Births Index, 1864-1958 Name: Ellen Archbold Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1899 Registration district: Rathdown Birth Country: Ireland Volume: 2 Page: 775 FHL Film Number: 101067 Ellen is not on the 1911 census with the family, so may have died prior to this date. Do you know Mary's maiden name? If not, you can purchase Ellen's birth cert from www.groireland.ie which will give you this info. You can then look for the marriage of Mary and John, probably c. 1890 as Mary jnr (1st child?) was born c. 1892. From this you will get their parent's names. This may be John Archbold's death info (year of birth/age at death/area appears to be correct):Ireland, Civil Registration Deaths Index, 1864-1958 Ireland, Civil Registration Deaths Index, 1864-1958 Name: John Archbold Estimated Birth Year: abt 1856 Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1907 Death Age: 51 Registration district: Rathdown Death Country: Ireland Volume: 2 Page: 736 FHL Film Number: 0101603Good luck in your search! 3. Many thanks to both Colette and Maggie for their help and suggestions. I am hopeful this information will lead me to the birth of Anna Aspel born 21 Apr, aprox 1855 in Ireland. Place of birth unknown. Your help is so appreciated. Bonnie
