Hi Alison, My Watsons came from Dumfries. Yes I did find those two children . Now think he is probably an older brother of my Samuel Mathews. I have been googling so found a few things namely this one The register of admissions to Gray's inn, 1521-1889, together with the register of marriages in Gray's inn chapel, 1695-1754 . (page 52 of 84) So what or where is Gray's Inn?
