This census covers the areas of Dublin City North and Dublin City South. The original record, which still exists, but is in very poor condition, has been indexed by Dr Chart in two hard bound volumes. These records have been indexed by parish, by street name and then by head householder. They are available at the National Archives in Dublin at CEN 1851/18/1-2. As some of my known residents of Dublin for this year of 1851 are not listed in the online version I am assuming that they were not the head of the household so it would be interesting to find out who was the head of the household for a particular address. I am wondering if there are any volunteers who would be prepared to do a few lookups for me please as I am " a bit far away ". Cheers from Valerie in sunny Sydney
