Hi Lorraine You would still have to be careful that Thomas didn't have a birthday say the late December as this would pull him back to 1887. You also have to remember who gave his death age may of got it wrong when they put 81. Do you know who his mother was, you can ask them to check this, but it would cost more when they check for you. I don't know what they charge for checking say a 5 year search & a mother's maiden name. Are you also sure he was born Dublin not just somewhere in Ireland. Hi No I confess I have no idea where he was born, who his mother was or who his father was. I am guessing looking st the childrens names that they may have been Thomas and Margaret. I know he married Annie Loughrey in Dublin before December 1914 when 1st child was born. I have been advised that the GRO in Dublin will do a 3 year marriage search but I can not find anything on their web site or on the form. Any ideas how I can trace this? I found mine by looking on the indexes until I found the male who was married that had the same vol. and page number as the woman he married. When they finally matched...it worked. I did this in Wales where a Huge Jones married a Jennette Jones. I finally found the match and it was my husband's great great grandparents. To put it easier. Look up Annie Loughrey on the marriage index and if you find an Annie Loughrey write down the vol. and page number. Then look on the same index...same quarter too...to see if there is a Thomas Moore that is on the same page and vol. as Annie. As sometimes a woman can be pregnant you might want to start with the birth of their first child in Dec. and work backwards. Hope I've made sense. Good hunting. Flo
