Whilst I appreciate that you are not supposed to advertise on these pages I have just bought a great book called Dublin Slums 1800 - 1925 A study of Urban Georgraphy. It includes maps and descriptions of the slum and tenement areas which are very interesting. I now know that most of my Dublin ancestors must have had a very hard life as the streets that they were born in appear in this book.
