Having told you all about the Dublin Slums book I have just received a book I ordered called Dublin Tenement Life - An oral history by Kevin C Kearns ISBN 071740741. (No I am not on a commission but researching your fqamily is not just about finding their names it is about their lives) I have found a testimoney from someone who lived on the same street as my g grandparents and another on the street where my g grandmother was born. If (like mine) your Dublin ancestors where from the tenements you will find this book great. There are maps and photographs (one is of a street just off Marrowbone Lane in which I was interested). There are reports for example from names like Murray, Kirwan, Caulfield (She is from Newfoundland Street where my g grandparents lived) Hawkins, Campbell, Waldron, Dunleavy, Cassidy, Murphy, Cullen, Mooney, Byrne just to name but a few. ___________________________________________________________ Tiscali Broadband only £9.99 a month for your first 3 months! http://www.tiscali.co.uk/products/broadband/
When reading these books if you come across reference to Benjamin Banks who was' on his retirement, described as the able and kindly secretary of the Local Government /board I would love details. Felicia
